Photographers I Have Enjoyed Learning From

My portrait of Actress Oon Shu An (oonshuan@yahoo.com), during an Objectifs workshop

Objectifs ( http://www.objectifs.com.sg/ ), is Singapore's Visual Arts Centre for Photography and Film Making enthusiasts. During the past year I have had the opportunity to join a number of Objectifs workshops, each led by a very creative and highly skilled full time professional photographer. Each workshop instructor has been passionate about their art, patient at sharing their knowledge, and truly encouraging of all students at all levels to achieve personal growth in both their techniques and appreciation of the world of photography.

A special thanks to Objectifs photographers
Tan Ngiap Heng ( http://www.thepond.com.sg/ ), Lance Lee ( http://www.offstone.com/bio ), Deanna Ng  (http://www.deannang.com/ ), and Ho Hui May, whose workshops I have had the privilge of participating in. I've truly enjoyed learning from each of you, and been inspired not only by your art, but also by the way you have so unselfishly shared your own personal perspectives with all of us who have taken your classes.

Cody Crocker, 1st Place Winner of Malaysian Rally Championship

I was on assignment in Malaysia this weekend covering the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship / ANCOM Malaysian Rally. Competitors take their cars tearing through jungle tracks. Subaru teams captured 1st and 2nd place wins, with Cody Crocker and Co Driver Ben Atkinson taking 1st place, and Emma Gilmour and Co Driver Claire Moley taking second.

For a photographer, the days are hours of treking and positioning, and a few seconds for the shot.

Photos will be used to illustrate a story on the history, culture, and literary mythology of Absinthe, an exremely high proof spirit with a distinctive green color.
